Estonia`s capital Tallinn, which was first mentioned in the year 1154, is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe. The unique value of Tallinn’s Old Town lies in its undamaged and charming medieval milieu and structure, which has been lost in most of the capitals of northern Europe. Since 1997, the Old Town of Tallinn has been on UNESCO’s World Heritage list.

Tallinn`s cobblestone streets and properties come from the 11th to 15th centuries.
Visitors are charmed by the old town – a fairytale district of narrow winding streets, cobbled pavement, state and church buildings, citizens’ and merchants’ residences, barns and warehouses from the Middle Ages, which all have been preserved in their basic original form.

Opera, concerts, art exhibitions, antique shops, fine museums and good shops add the final touch to what you might expect from this multi-faceted town.
